Portal Network has developed a comprehensive product suite, built on its BNS standard, to address core problems preventing technical and non-technical user adoption of decentralized technology.
MUMEI is a web platform that provides a set of tools for users to manage Blockchain Domain Names generated by the Portal Network BNS and deploy decentralized websites to those domain names. MUMEI is designed specifically for non-technical users, with a streamlined user experience to support each aspect of the domain name creation, management, and ÐWeb publication journey.
A website that allows any user to easily search for domain names across Portal Network’s supported protocols, and check each domain’s availability status and asking price denominated in the protocol’s currency. Users can place bids on domains they are interested in, purchase domains, or sell domains they control for prices they specify.
Users can easily manage their domains here. Users can view all of the domains they have purchased through Portal Network’s Marketplace. Users have the option to bind their owned domain names to a corresponding protocol address of their choosing. Users can update their existing domains to address mappings as they wish.
A tool whereby non-technical users can build decentralized websites using point and click actions. Users can easily publish their decentralized websites on IPFS with their chosen BNS.
The Portal Network browser extension transforms regular browsers into BNS-compatible browsers. If users have the extension installed, BNS domains will be automatically resolved and will direct users to the appropriate ÐWeb site. For example, a user may type in “portalnetwork.eth”, and they will be redirected automatically to an IPFS-hosted page, as if they were accessing a standard web page.
A database where users can find decentralized websites and applications.
A website where users can easily search information about different BNS without having to login. Information includes data points such as the ownership of the BNS, resolver contract, registrar details, bidding price, the ÐWeb hash, and transaction records.
This allows user to easily connect BNS with an IPFS hash, wallet, and smart contract directly with blockchain by using MetaMask and Coinbase Wallet (Toshi).
Mobile applications that allow users to manage their BNS on the go. This includes mobile implementations of the Domain Manager, Marketplace, and BNS Explorer.
